The Challenge

In 2019, Canopy by Hilton came to us with a business need. They wanted their newest hotel to have a home-y, local feel, and they turned to us to create buzz and help them foster a genuine relationship with the community.

 

Our Solution

To kick off our partnership, Some Great People invited 60 truly influential community members to the space to tell the story, spark inspiration and foster new relationships. We don’t just choose our influencers by their follower count - we have the benefit of knowing the Twin Cities so well that we were able to pick 60 people who we knew would have a real impact for Canopy by Hilton. As a result, our influencer relations allows our client to reach an average of 160,000 people every month. A month later was our Grand Opening party, an event like no other, featuring a local art show where art was bought with acts of kindness. Yep, you read that right - acts of kindness.

Since 2019, Some Great People has served as a community connector for Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis. What does this mean? We create strategic, buzz worthy events and develop long lasting relationships with community influencers, food and drink vendors, non-profits, and movers and shakers.

Over the past year, we have worked alongside Canopy by Hilton to understand their unique challenges, goals, and company vision. We currently run their Minneapolis social media account, which has the #1 social media presence of all their Canopy hotels. We continuously develop ongoing activations and events, manage influencer relations, and position Canopy by Hilton as the spot for all things community, entertainment and fun.
